Linsey Gray Puckett is a visual artist and designer based in Asheville, North Carolina

Following nearly 15 years of client-based work, she now focuses on original offerings that combine her passions for art, architecture, graphic and interior design, surface pattern, and textiles. Her work spans various mediums and methods, forming a portfolio diverse in discipline.

An essential part of her being since childhood, the act of creating carries Linsey through happiness and sorrow, confidence and angst, providing a way to meditate and work through the inarticulate. In recent years, her art practice has become a critical tool in acknowledging, accepting, and pushing through perfectionism and how better care of herself by making personal passions more of a priority.

Alongside original works for sale, Linsey also offers custom services from commissioned artwork to custom surface design and illustration. Click here to learn more.

Inspired and supported by family with backgrounds in art and textiles, Linsey spent much of her childhood with pencil or paintbrush in hand. Art was the clear direction until anxieties of a “career path” set in. After one year as a Studio Art and Design major, Linsey turned her focus to the built environment and earned a BFA in Interior Architecture.

A brief moment the interior design field was followed by a sudden pivot into the world of print and marketing. Serving Graphic Designer and Creative Director roles, she worked closely with global, national, and regional brands. While learning to balance her time between agency and freelance work, a new opportunity to serve as the Art Director for trade publications Designers Today, Home Accents Today, and other titles reignited her love for interiors.

Then & Now

For more than a decade, Linsey fought through self-inflicted pressure to choose between disciplines. She gradually began to combine her varied skill sets, allowing her to consider each project from a more holistic perspective and overlap services as needed. From logo, to print collateral, to physical place of business, Linsey and her collaborative colleagues have strengthened clients’ connections with their customers through creative, communicative, and cohesive experiences.

Today, Linsey’s focus has shifted again—this time back toward her earliest passions.

Finding refuge in her renewed practice, she approaches art and illustration through a seasoned lens, bringing with her to the drawing table design, marketing, and editorial experience.
