Through imagery scents, and handcrafted goods, this creative consortium travels through time, gesturing at styles, movements, and moments to create something familiar yet altogether new.
A nerd and an unapologetic flirt.
The brand hangs out in thrift stores, used bookshops, Austrian cafes, and Soho bars. Is a tea drinker. Enjoys the occasional designer drug. Spends too much money on oversized art books. Has a cordial glass collection. Prefers to travel by train. Enjoys older company for the wisdom and storytelling. Is dainty, but not fragile. Feels no urgency to “be cool”.
A longtime symbol of strength and resilience, the marigold is commonly used to regenerate soil between crops and to foster a healthy environment for pollinators. They are able to exist in the most trivial conditions, bringing beauty and contrast to the most uninviting settings.
Connected by a single stem, two marigolds mirror one another, their rational symmetry a nod to self-reflection and self-reference. Like rays of the sun, the words “REFERENTIALLY MODERN” rise above the future-facing bloom while the other one lovingly gazes upon the past.

In similar art deco fashion to the brand marks’ mirroring marigolds, lavender, a shell cradled by seaweed, and bubbles softly dance in place in a hypnotic homage to the timeless and memory-inducing fragrances they represent.
